How do I submit a document for translation?

You can send us the documents to be translated via email or FTP indicating the target language and time frame. It will be helpful if you provide us with some information on the transliteration required, target audience, if any, and about yourself including telephone, email address, etc. If needed, please mention special instructions for the translators.

I am not seeing a language of my interest in your website can you still translate ...?

Yes, of course. We work with translators all over the world and are constantly adding qualified translators and writers to our database. Please contact us to find out.

What are your rates?

We offer the most reasonable rates in the industry. We try to charge on a per word basis for every language ordered while we offer rates on a per page basis for special requests. The rates vary according to the nature of the job. The influential factors are size, target language, time frame (sometimes) and nature of the text. For projects other than translation, the fee structure will differ.

How confidential will my work remain with you?

We understand very well the importance of safeguarding the proprietary information our clients are sharing with us while discussing or executing their projects and we guarantee all clients that their data will always be treated confidentially and within a secure environment. We guarantee that all information and data provided by you including telephone numbers, email addresses, other contents are treated with foolproof confidentiality and never shared with any third parties by us. All our translators and team members are under strict non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements. We can, upon request, sign a nondisclosure agreement with our customers.

How can we pay?

For International clients, we accept Paypal, Moneybookers and Bank Transfers.
For Indian clients, we accept Cash, Cheques and Demand Drafts.
Details of alternate options can be discussed at the time of placing the order.

What are your payment terms?

We charge 50% advance upfront and balance against delivery. The reason is simple, we have had times when people don’t pay or forget to pay us for more than 365 days.

Now there are 2 ways to handle it. Either we increase rates to cover such contingencies, or we charge upfront and offer a discount. In the first case, even good paying clients suffer as they have to pay more. There are few facts we have learned over the years:

  • On an average, we had to spend about 2 months every year just chasing clients for payments. We can better utilize this time and improve our language skills.
  • Average wait for delayed payment is 6 months. This translates to about 5% interest on the same.
  • About 5% of clients default.
  • This is an online business and it becomes very hard to contact some of the people. And in some cases, long distance call is costlier than actual job amount.

So, we decided to go for the second option. The same was opted in an opinion poll of our customers. So we have lowered our prices by 10% on all translation. (This is why our rates are lower than the rest.)

What are your policies for Volume Orders and Recurring Orders?

We consider orders over 50000 words as bulk/volume orders. Similarly, clients who have provided us business of 50000 words cumulatively in a span of three months, we consider as recurring orders. We offer special discounts and relaxed payment terms in both cases.
